The Honest Lumberjack - Aesop's fables

An old woodcutter, without realizing it, dropped his ax into the river. sitting on the riverbank, he cried because he would not have to earn a living from now on.

Then a fairy appeared and submerged in the water, extracted a golden ax and gave it to the woodcutter.

-This is not my ax -I reject the man.

-Then the fairy came back with a silver ax.

 - It's not that either.

The fairy, for his honesty, handed him the three axes.

On the way back, the man told another lumberjack what happened. and this, neither short nor lazy, threw his ax into the river and cried.

The fairy emerged with a golden ax and said:

 -Is this your ax?

-Yes, that's mine! -I cry the ambitious.

The disgusted fairy, took the gold one with her, leaving the ax of the deceiver in the water.

Who with honesty does not agree, loses even what he has.
